Fun and Laughter X 4

July 4, 2010

This beautiful and fun family of four had such a great connection…I can almost hear their laughter as I look through their proofs:)  They’re leaving Okinawa after many years here, and I felt lucky to be able to capture them with the island they love as a backdrop before they head off to their next adventure.

Pretty in Pink

June 22, 2010

The color palette that this lovely family chose for their session was so delicious, I couldn’t wait to get started!  The neutral colors of the beach and park make a perfect backdrop for the bright oranges and pinks.  These two little girls are about the same age as my own daughters, but thankfully they don’t have “Photographer’s Child Syndrome” (symptoms: run away screaming when camera is pulled out) like mine do, and were delightful and extremely cooperative.

Not to mention completely GORGEOUS…

Mother Daughter Day

June 9, 2010

The park was so gorgeous and just saturated with color from the rains when I met Christina and Kaitlyn for their mother-daughter shoot early in the morning.  They have the best bond, and I felt so privileged to be able to stand in the background and capture it.  Portraits of just Kaitlyn were also top priority, and I was riveted by her amazing eyes…

…And super-sweet personality:)

On to some family photos…

They are just beautiful. I really LOVE these images. I wish I had something similar with my 2 daughters.

Sisters

May 21, 2010

Sweet Cassidy and Peyton were back for one more session before they moved off of the island for good.  These lovely girls have such different personalities, it will be so fun for their family to get to watch them grow up together!  Here are some favorites from a park in Naha…

Bravo to mom Leslie on the outfit choices!!!

What a great session. These little girls are so beautiful. Also pretty amazed at the clarity of your shots– even the ones that have movement, you were spot on!

Low Tide Magic

May 18, 2010

Low tide at Toguchi Beach is always so fun, especially when you’re there with 3 energetic boys!!!  Shots of the boys and couple shots of Mom and Dad were top priority, and we were so lucky to catch the beautiful evening light and a breathtaking sunset.  Sigh…I love this place:)

Evening at the Park

April 5, 2010

Mark and Shiloh and their amazing kiddos met me at my favorite time of day–early evening–for some family photos just before he had to leave the country for work.  We just barely snuck it in!!  These kids were so full of life and curiousity that they were a joy to watch.  They were also extraordinarily sweet to each other… normally it is difficult to get photos of three children all sitting together, but these little ones made it look easy!!!  Here are some highlights from the evening…

2010 Haiti Benefit

March 1, 2010

A HUGE thanks to everyone who came out and made the Haiti Benefit with Red Stone Photography and Aviva Photography on Saturday a big success!  The weather was gorgeous for most of the day, and everything went very smoothly.  We’ll know the exact amount in the next week or two, but it looks like we’ve raised between $3000-$4000 for the victims of the Haiti tragedy!  Kudos to all the participants and volunteers for taking the time to come out and support this cause.  Here’s a sneak preview from some of the sessions…

And Baby Makes 5!

February 28, 2010

The Rosados just welcomed a brand new family member and wanted some updated photos, so we met down at the American Village for a fun morning!  These kids were absolutely delightful and the whole family had a really great energy and closeness.  A pleasure to photograph!  Here are a few highlights from our day.

Future Pilot

February 21, 2010

I SO loved this shoot…a beautiful mother, sweet and curious 2 year old boy, soft evening light, and airplanes!!!  Carla and her son were so natural in front of the camera, and what little boy could contain his excitement around all those big planes?!  We started at the park…

Then it was over to the airplanes, just as the light was getting low:)

A fun day, but it’s time to go home:)
