Four in the Morning
December 27, 2009
It was so fun to meet the Novotnys on a bright clear morning at Toguchi. We were a little pressed for time but that didn’t matter, because everyone was so natural in front of the camera that we got all the shots we needed very quickly! It’s great to get to meet such a charming family with genuinely nice children:)

Katelynn and Hunter had the best relationship! It’s so cool to have a sibling close in age:)

Morning at Torii
December 24, 2009
I had really been wanting to explore some different beaches, so for Liam’s 1st birthday and family shoot, we decided to meet in the morning at Torii Beach. It was one of those completely magical mornings where the storm clouds held off just enough to throw an amazing surreal light on the already beautiful surroundings. The electricity in the air just added to the atmosphere, and we even made it out to the beach in time to catch the end of a rainbow!

Gorgeous morning, gorgeous family!!! Here’s the birthday boy…

I love color, but some shots just NEED to be in black and white, like these…

Finally, some shots of just Paige and Joshua…

Cars!
December 20, 2009
Collin was approaching is second birthday, and mom Anna wanted some unposed shots of him in his element…playing and running around and being a boy! It was fun to chase him around at Toguchi as he played with his most prized possesion, a bag full of toy cars. It was raining, so we found some shelter and let him have a ball:)

Collin’s favorite game was rolling the cars down this rail as fast as he could. His delight was contagious!

When the rainshowers let up a bit, we snuck out to the beach for a few final shots, including one with mom:)

The Leducs
December 17, 2009
I met up with Leslie and Max and their two beautiful daughters on a calm cloudy evening at Murasaki Mura. It can be hard to get past the smell in the parking lot, but it’s totally worth it! Such a cool place:) Family pictures for the holidays were top priority, so we explored and stopped at so many interesting little spots with the girls.

Peyton and Cassidy were just delightful girls:) I never had a sister, so I always love to see the bond they have, even at this early stage.

I loved their outfit choices as well…coordinating but not exactly matching green and brown outfits…very photogenic!
