Gorgeous Couple!
November 24, 2009
Missy and Jesse are newly married and also new to the island. We planned for some beach photographs, but it rained hard through the whole drive to the Rennaisance Hotel. When we got there it was just sprinkling, so we decided to go for it…And let me tell you, I am SO glad, because this turned out to be a really amazing session. These two have great chemistry, an up-for-anything attitude and an unquenchable joi de vivre that was such fun to photograph! Here are just a few favorites from our session…

My only instruction for these photos below was “Frolic”! Oh, and the rain was starting to really come down again, so we just went with it. Luckily, I can still take photos while balancing a wobbly umbrella over my camera!

Julie and David have 3 wonderful feisty boys and really wanted some family photos with everyone in them. They are all so close in age…Jake is 2 and the twins are 1…they are going to have so much fun with each other as they grow up! Watching their interactions was a real treat, and had me laughing the whole time and again as I was editing. What a bunch of cuties:)

Sometimes the best photos are caught while we’re setting up for a shot…these little boys were so fun!

Mmmmmm…delicious sand
Two Years!
November 13, 2009
Adorable Caleb is turning two, and we trekked down to Fukushu-en Chinese Gardens near Naha to get some birthday photos. We braved a rainy morning, but the sprinkling turned to pouring (although Caleb didn’t mind!) and we had to head indoors to finish our session.

Isn’t this place just amazing?!

This little guy is so spunky and full of energy, and I so love his red hair!

Happy birthday Caleb…I wish you all the best and most FUN as you enter your second year!!!!

Heart to Heart

I just love shooting couples…it’s one of my very favorite things to do. Rob and Ashley (of Ashley Yaggi Photography) met me in Yomitan for some fun couple shots. These two were so engaged with each other and comfortable, they were a joy to photograph:) 1st stop, Murasaki Mura…

Thanks to Laurie Lowry for suggesting this location…it is so full of amazing picturesque spots.

Next we drove down to the beach and finished their session as the sun set!

Did I mention I love the sunsets here?
Back to Zakimi Castle
November 6, 2009
Kristin and Ryan and adorable Austin and I traveled out to Zakimi Castle on a beautiful clear evening. Their top priority was to get a whole bunch of great family photos of the three of them (+ baby bump!) so that’s what we did!

Austin was one of the most laid back two year olds I ever met…and he had an impressive vocabulary!

Who wouldn’t want a photograph of their family standing on top of a centuries-old castle?!

Finally it was time to say goodnight:)

I’d like to thank you for giving me the gift of seeing just how happy my daughter is, in her new life. I miss these two and I “needed” to see how happy they truly are. You captured that in a way that can’t be explained. Thanks for bringing such peace to this Mom.
You’re just awesome at couples and families! These are beautiful.
Thanks for the compliments, they were such a delightful couple!!!
