Beautiful Anticipation

July 15, 2009

Helen and Steven just relocated here from the states for their second tour and and Helen found herself one week from her due date and in need of some maternity photos.  Yes, you read that right…Helen is ONE week from her due date in these photos!  I was so impressed with her grace throughout the evening.  We started with a few simple studio-style shots in their home…

Then, we headed down to Araha Beach at the most beautiful time of day, an hour before sunset.  First up, some family pics:)

These two were so engaged with each other, and their spunky 3-year old Mark was extremely cooperative!

Wowza, she is gorgeous! Wish I looked this great when I was 9 months preggo instead of the gestating cow that I was. LOL!
Beautiful images – I love the vintagey one with the umbrella and that last one should be a big canvas on the wall. :) Gorgeous memories you’ve created for her!

Daughters:)

July 9, 2009

Joanne and her girls met me at Marek Park bright and early last week, and we just barely managed to beat the heat!  This was a special session, because Joanne’s husband has been deployed and has not yet met his youngest daughter, who is now 4 months old.  Joanne wanted some portraits of the girls to send to him across the world.  Hopefully, he’ll feel some of the warmth of the sunshine that these girls emanated when he picks up their photos all the way “over there”.

As you can see, the oldest daughter is so lovely, and not a bit camera shy:)  The littlest girl is also adorable, full of spunk and the alertness of a 4-month old just discovering the world…

Round 2…:)

July 1, 2009

Well, Trish’s husband Slava liked his father’s day present so much that he decided to get another session to get some images of the whole family and some couple shots of him and Trish!  It was fun seeing everyone again and meeting Slava, the missing piece, for the first time.  We went back to the same spot and rushed to squeeze the shoot between the oppressive heat of the day and the oncoming darkness.  Luckily, we timed it just right!!!

After we got some family shots, the kids went off to play and it was time for Trish and Slava to do their thing!
