Clark and the Firetruck
June 17, 2009
I had been wanting to do a session at the fire station for a while, and it worked out perfectly that we got a break in the rain and the guys and gals at Fire Station #1 (Thank you Frank!!!!!) were having a slow day at the same time! 3 year old Clark was very excited to be there, which made photographing him a blast…

We learned about the tools, the truck, and we even got to climb up on top where the ladder and the enormous hoses were stored.

Lucky Clark got a chance to sit in the driver’s seat and try on some of the gear …

Clark’s serious side…..

And his silly side…!

I’m so glad everything worked out so perfectly! Thanks to all of the nice folks at the fire station!!

Who’s Ready for Father’s Day?
June 11, 2009
This weekend I was at the park with Trish and her two little ones. She wanted to get some shots of her and the kids together and some individual portraits to give to her husband as a Father’s Day gift!!! Such a great idea. The secret came out early however, so I’ll go ahead and post some of them:)

Hannah, the 5-year old, was so independant and engaging…and SO lovely:) She got through the outfit changes and the terribly humid sweaty morning weather like a pro.

Alexander was such a good-natured little man, flashing those adorable two teeth and doing 10-month old level science experiments in the sand.

Here are some more shots…I was really impressed by the cooperativeness of the little ones:)

Before we left we had to do a few photos with the vending machines! They’ll always know where they were when these were taken!

I hope the four of you have an absolutely wonderful Father’s Day!!!! It was so nice working with you:)

Family of Five
June 2, 2009
Hello All! This will be the first post on the new and improved Red Stone Photography Blog! All of the old posts are here, they just don’t look as cool because this blog has bigger pictures:) I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph the family of a husband and wife team of photographers, Jessica and Mel of Pura Vida Photography. Here’s their site… www.puravidaphotog.com . They are PCSing very soon to Alabama, and will be setting up their business in the South. We went to Taguchi beach, and let me tell you, their kids were an absolute delight to photograph. You could tell they were photographer’s children because not only were they cooperative, but they kept coming up with new posing ideas and locations and were genuinely enthusiastic to be there!

These are great! I love it when a family really shows the love that they have for each other during a session. You can tell they had a great time.

Alexis,
Just wanted to say thank you again for the beautiful photos you took of our family. We will cherish them as they really captured our time on Okinawa – having them taken so close to our departure. We will miss the island and the friendships we left behind! You are a very talented photographer and we were so privileged to have you behind the camera! Enjoy your time on Okinawa – it will be coming to an end before you know it!Jessica
